It was my desire to visit Cherai beach one of the most visited beaches in Kerala. I have been coying the idea of visiting cherai beach for a long time. I had already booked a room in ClubMahindra tourist Indriya resort which is one of best resorts in Cherai.  Cherai is near to Vypeen island in Ernakulam district of kerala. More over it is ideal spot for swimming in the sea.  We  set out to Cherai after lunch at 1.30 pm on 20th February 2023. I was accompanied by my wife Lekha.The climate was very hot as the summer was fast approaching in the state. I am a resident of Thrissur city which is around 60 km from the Cherai beach resort. It takes only 90 minutes to reach club mahindra resort which is located on the side of Cherai beach.  We reached the resort at 3.00 pm.We were received by a lady who extended warm welcome into the resort.  ഏകദേശം മൂന്ന് മാസങൾക് മുമ്പാണെന്ന് തോന്നുന്നു,തോമാച്ചന്റെ ഒരു ഫോൺകോൾ. തോമാച്ചൻ എന്ന് ഞങൾ വിളിക്കുന്ന തോമസ് ജോർജ് എന്റെ ക്ലാസ് മേറ്റും അടുത്ത സുഹൃത്തുമാണ്. ഞങൾ കോഴിക്കോട് റീജിയണൽ എഞ്ചിനീയറിങ് കോളജിലെ 72 _76 ബാച്ച് സിവിൾ എഞ്ചിനീയറിങ് വിദ്യാർത്ഥികളായിരുന്നു.ബിരുദാനന്തരം ഞങൾ ഒരേ സമയത്താണ് കേരള പിഡബ്ളിയുഡിയിൽ അസിസ്റ്റന്റ് എഞ്ചിനീയ ർ മാരായി ജോലിയിൽ പ്രവേശിച്ചത്. 32 കൊല്ലത്തെ മികച്ച സേവനത്തിന് ശേഷം ഞാൻ സൂപ്രണ്ടിങ് എഞ്ചിനീയറായും തോമാച്ചൻ എക്സിക്യൂട്ടീവ് എഞ്ചിനീയറായും റിട്ടയർ ചെയ്തു. അതിന് ശേഷം കോട്ടയത്ത് തന്റെ അച്ഛനിൽനിന്നും പാരമ്പര്യമായി സിദ്ധിച്ച ഭവനത്തിൽ ഭാര്യ റീനിയോടൊപ്പം സസുഖം കഴിയുകയാണ്. റീനിയും പിഡബ്ളിയുഡിയിൽ എക്സിക്യൂട്ടീവ് എഞ്ചിനീയറായി റിട്ടയർ ചെയ്ത മഹതിയാണ്. ഞങൾ തമ്മി ൽ  പതിവായി ഫോൺ സംഭാഷണങളും പതിവാണ്. പതിവായി പറയുന്ന കാര്യമല്ല അന്ന് ടിജി പറഞത്.  "എടാ മനു", നാം   റീജിയണൽ      എഞ്ചിനീയറിങ് കോളജിൽ ചേർന്നതിന്റെ സുവർണ ജൂബിലി ആഘോഷിക്കാൻ പോകുന്നു. നീയെന്ത് പറയുന്നു?എനിക്ക് ഇദ്ദേഹത്തെ കുറിച്ച് നന്നായറിയാം. ഒരു കാര്യം ചെയ്യാനേറ്റാൽ അത് ഭംഗിയായി പൂർതീകര...
